Who we are

Essence Architectural Design Limited is an architectural design studio based in Ōhau, Levin, serving the Kāpiti Coast, Horowhenua, Wellington and wider New Zealand. We take our responsibilities under the Privacy Act 2020 seriously and follow best-practice privacy care in everything we do — we only collect what we genuinely need, and we look after it carefully.

What information this website collects

When you send us an enquiry through our contact form, we receive the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and a description of your project or enquiry. If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever information you share in that message or conversation.

We don't collect anything else through this website — no accounts, no payment details, no browsing profiles.

How we use your information

We use your details for one purpose only: responding to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, communicating with you about your project. We won't add you to marketing lists or send you anything you haven't asked for.

Google Analytics cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand, in general terms, how people use the site — for example, which pages are visited and for how long. This data is anonymous and aggregated, and doesn't identify you personally. You can block these cookies at any time through your browser settings without affecting your use of the site.

Who we share it with (and who we don't)

We never sell your information, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing. The only people who see it are our team and the service providers who help run this website and our email (for example, our website platform and email provider), who are bound to keep it secure and use it only to deliver their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as we need to respond to you and, if a project goes ahead, for as long as the project requires. After that, we delete or securely destroy personal information that's no longer needed.

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We're happy to help — just get in touch.
